"Proclaiming Christ's salvation by evangelizing the lost, nurturing and equipping the saved to lead others to Christ."

Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Romans 8:37-39
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jerry Coxson-Elder
My father was an Elder and my mother was a Sunday school teacher, so I spent a lot of time in and around Corner House. I've been attending here since I was a small child. I was baptized into Christ at a revival service in 1961. I became an Elder here in 1987. I felt that God was calling me to serve as an Elder and I was encouraged by people that I respected and loved. I continue to serve because I love the Lord and want to be a tool for Him.
While it may be rare for a man to have a Godly wife, I have been incredibly Blessed to have had two. After the death of my 1st wife Debbie, God put my 2nd wife Cindy, and her son Luke, into my life. Now, I can count the blessings of 7 children, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. God has Blessed me in more ways than I could ever count. I consider it my utmost pleasure to serve Him and His Church.
Being a Christian and serving as an Elder has always been an exciting adventure. God has placed me in situations and places I never imagined I'd ever be in. I look forward to His leading me down the next path in service of His Kingdom.
I enjoy teaching the Word, singing praises, and showing hospitality to others. I like to keep my eyes and ears open for opportunities to talk to people about Jesus and our Church. If I make myself available to Him and go where He sends me, I know He is always with me. Whatever I do, wherever I go, He walks with me. I seek him daily in my life by spending time in his Word and speaking with Him daily.
When we grow spiritually we will grow in many other ways, too.
