Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Donny Kennedy-Deacon

I have been attending Corner House my entire 44 years of life, and my family has been coming here for generations.  I was baptized here on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1985 by Jerry Yorks and became a Deacon in 1996.  I've always been drawn here because of the church's family atmosphere, it's Bible based teaching, and the congregation's desire to help others. Helping others has been my favorite part of being a Christian, and as a Deacon, I can use my service to honor God even further.

One of the hardest parts about being a Christian is trying to lead people to Christ that won’t listen.  That's why I try so hard to lead quietly by example.  Being a Deacon allows me to serve, and that's what I love about it.  I wanted to join Church leadership because I wanted to lead someone to Christ, so I started asking, praying and studying about Deacons.

Corner House is not the only place I serve Christ. I  am a track Chaplain, doing prayer at driver's meeting , invocation Prayer, walk around talking  about Christ ,  helping driver's families with hospital calls or anything they may be facing,
