Corner House has served the spiritual needs of Hubbard and its surrounding communities for over 190 years. We're open to visitors and new members.
Proclaim Christ's Salvation by evangelizing the lost, nurturing and equipping the saved to lead others to Christ.
What this means is: Telling everyone how great Jesus is, helping others look toward Him for their Salvation and teaching fellow baptized believers to lead others to Christ as they were.
Services have been indefinitely cancelled: live stream only
Corner House Christian Church Elders want to encourage you to keep the
It's our conviction that while we are always open, we have decided to suspend
public worship at Corner House Christian Church until further notice.
Services over the last few Sundays have averaged 40 with 7 guests during that
time span. (Praise God even 2 baptisms) We have tried to act within the CDC
guidelines and have kept the doors open in order to be a spiritual light in he
community in a time of great need.
Although the recent channel 21 newscast gave a fair assessment of our reasons
for corporate worship we have received some public concerns and even what
we classified as a threat this past week. The current outbreak of the COVID
19 virus has also reached its peak and with the age and vulnerability of our tri-
county area it seems in our best interest to cease of regular meetings for the
time being. So for the safety of our members and attendees we will not meet
We have not taken the closing of the church lightly but have truly feared the
spiritual backlash from an unprecedented time in history when the church was
closed. Most of us have no experience of church except for meetings and
gatherings. But we must continue worship even when we are apart.
For some of you who are tech savvy, I pray you have been encouraged by the
Corner House streamed worship service. We encourage you to go to our
Youtube page, type in Corner House Christian Church and tune in on Sunday
mornings at 10:30 am to our worship services.
It is important to realize we are never alone in our worship. God is always
present - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You can even sing praise by yourself or
together with your family. Now we might have to improvise the Lord's supper
but please understand how important it is that we all observe this solemn
memorial. (See text message or email for guidelines and communion
meditations) We are also leaving the southeast doors by the parsonage open
between the hours of 1 - 8 pm on Sundays for anyone who might want to take
communion in the auditorium. All essentials are provided.
I am also disappointed that C.Y. Kim will have to delay coming to Corner
House until future opportunities present themselves. I did not realize the
extent of his story but I understand that he was imprisoned for 2 1⁄2 years and
was kept inside of a 5’ x 5’ wooden box, totally isolated from his family in
friends He was detained for political reasons stemming back to his mission
organization. I think he would understand a little bit of what it means to be
socially quarantined. What would you do if you couldn’t go to a place of
corporate worship for six months, a year or more?
One of our heart felt concerns and desires is for us to stay united in Christ
through this crisis. What if each one of us accepted the challenge to reach out
in four ways during this time apart.
1) Would you be willing to pray for people? (We can send you a church
2) Would you be willing to call some of those who attend Corner House and
give them a word of encouragement.
3) Would you be willing to single out a couple people who are in your usual
encounters who may need to hear the message of Jesus. Will you begin to
pray about their salvation.
4) Would you consider contacting them during this time and let them know
you have been praying for them.
Finally, we are grateful that several members and attendees have
dropped or mailed tithing checks while our E-giving online is increasing.
Because we are uncertain of our financial future we are halting our
missions giving through the general fund (14% of our general fund goes
to missions) and putting our 30 pieces of silver offering on hold until the
crisis is over.
Beyond that, however, I write with a simple, but heartfelt message: I'm
praying we don't let the stress and anxiety over the current circumstances
diminish our spiritual growth and worship. Dave and the elders plan to keep
continual watch over our congregation in coming months but we are only
human. Please call or contact us with any needs or concerns.
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as
though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you share
in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of
His glory. (I Peter 4:12-13)

We believe that the Bible, though written by humans, was inspired by God for us to have and adhere to. We study it for knowledge on how to live honorable lives with Christ as our center. The Bible, teaches us honesty, integrity, love, compassion and much more.
As it is written in II Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instructions for living right, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped to do every kind of good work.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the physical part of God, is pure. He was born of a virgin, lived in a sinless life and sacrificed His life for us a He took the punishment for us and was crucified for our sins. He then was risen back to life, so that in conquering death He created the path for us to be united with Him in Heaven and live with Him forever. We also believe that He is coming again soon, and will be the ultimate judge of both the living and the dead.
